Jo Ann Stores, the leading national fabric and craft retailer in the U.S., successfully trained and tested 500 of their end users on SAP in just three weeks, using simulations generated with Kaplan's leading enterprise application training software, STT Trainer.
Simulations are realistic recreations of applications in which end users are free to learn how to use an application without fear of impacting the "live" system. Simulations also provide end users onscreen guidance and instruction on how to perform tasks.
STT Trainer enabled the rapid development and deployment of Jo Ann Stores' software simulations for the training and testing of over 500 of their end users during the company's SAP R/3 upgrade project. The customized simulations trained users across a range of Jo Ann Stores' SAP modules, including Financial Accounting, Controlling, Materials Management, and Sales and Distribution.
"The simulations we created with STT Trainer ensured everyone was prepared to use the latest version of SAP a week before roll out," said Stacey Harris, Training Manager for Jo Ann Stores. "These same simulations continue to be used as refresher training via desktops, so end users and new recruits can use STT Trainer whenever they need impromptu training."
